Vandalia Health’s Mon Health Heart & Vascular Center Launches Cardiac CT Program in Elkins
Posted Date: 10/21/2024
Mon Health Heart & Vascular Center in Elkins is proud to announce the launch of its new Cardiac Computed Tomography Angiography (CTA) program, offering advanced diagnostic capabilities to patients in the region.
The Cardiac CTA program is designed to provide fast, accurate, and non-invasive imaging of the heart, helping to detect heart disease and other cardiovascular conditions early and improve treatment outcomes. This technology delivers high-resolution images that allow physicians to better determine if a patient has blockages in their arteries using a method that is not invasive to the body, therefore making it safer to make that diagnosis.
“This higher resolution CT will help with multiple diagnostic studies with the addition of the ability to do cardiac CTA scanning is a game-changer for our team and our patients,” said Dr. Samantha Crites, Cardiologist at Mon Health Medical Center and Director of non-invasive imaging. “With this advanced imaging technology, we can detect heart disease earlier, make more accurate diagnoses, and create tailored treatment plans that improve patient outcomes. Our goal is to provide the highest level of care, and this new tool allows us to do that with greater precision and efficiency.”
“As we continue to expand our services, the introduction of the new Cardiac CT program exemplifies our dedication to providing the best possible heart care in the region,” said David Goldberg, President and CEO of Mon Health System and Davis Health System - Vandalia Health North, and Executive Vice President of Vandalia Health. “At Vandalia Health, we are committed to remaining at the forefront for healthcare excellence and continually elevating the quality of our services to better serve our community. CTA helps elevate access to timely diagnosis of the heart and part of a promise to the Greater Elkins community was to advance cardiac care and access right here close to home and the collaboration between our System providers makes it happen. The benefit of our merger is transforming care and offerings for the communities we serve.”
