Davis Health System and Mon Health System Hospitals Team Up to Make an Impact for Kids Hygiene Drive

Posted Date: 7/22/2024

Vandalia Health’s Davis Health System and Mon Health System hospitals are teaming up to collect donations for the Tygart Valley United Way’s United for Kids Hygiene Drive.

Broaddus Hospital, Davis Medical Center, and Mon Health Marion Neighborhood Hospital are each collecting hygiene items to help young people in the Marion, Randolph, Taylor, Barbour, and Tucker Counties have what they need to face their day with dignity.

Not all students have necessary hygiene or personal items available at home, so the United for Kids Hygiene Drive is held annually to support students and ensure they stay healthy, happy, and ready to learn. Donations are being collected through Friday, August 9.

"Our Davis Health System employees and volunteers are truly committed to bringing better health to life, and good health begins with hygiene and self-care,” said Michael Bell, Executive Director of Davis Health System Foundation. “We're pleased to join Mon Health System and partner with the Tygart Valley United Way to provide an opportunity for our community to join us in helping meet this very real need for our area students."

Those interested in donating can drop off hygiene items at either Broaddus Hospital, Davis Medical Center, or Mon Health Marion Neighborhood Hospital. All donations will be delivered to the Tygart Valley United Way upon completion of the drive. For a full list of items eligible for donation, visit TVUnitedWay.org/UnitedForKids.

“Partnering with our Vandalia Health counterparts at Davis Health System will certainly grow the impact we will have on the communities we serve,” said Luella Gunter, Executive Director of Philanthropy at Mon Health System. “We look forward to seeing how this collaboration makes a difference in the lives of kids in need.”
