"Share the Love" raises $13,835 for radiation therapy at Mon Health Medical Center

John Howard Subaru raised $13,835 for the Mon Health Zelda Stein Weiss Cancer Center during Subaru's 10th Annual "Share the Love" event.

From Nov. 17, 2017 through Jan. 2, customers who purchased or leased a new Subaru were able to direct a $250 donation to their choice of several national charities selected by Subaru and one local charity chosen by local dealerships.

John Howard Subaru in Morgantown selected Mon Health's Radiation Therapy Center, part of the Zelda Stein Weiss Cancer Center, as its local charity. This was the third time in the last four years that John Howard Subaru selected the cancer center to be the local charity recipient.

"On behalf of Mon Health Medical Center and the Zelda Stein Weiss Cancer Center staff, we are extremely grateful to John Howard Subaru for their support," said Bill Hennessey, executive director of the Mon Health Medical Center Foundation. "This will make a big difference in our efforts to provide quality cancer care to our community."

An anonymous donor will match John Howard Subaru's contribution dollar for dollar, meaning the Share the Love event will result in nearly $28,000 for the center.
