Mon Health Medical Center Foundation Raises $100,000 at 34th Annual DeLynn Memorial Golf Classic

The 34th Annual DeLynn Memorial Golf Classic is the second event in the Bill Hennessey Golf Series at the prestigious Pete Dye Golf Club in Bridgeport, West Virginia. The event hosted 102 golfers in support of the critical needs of Mon Health Medical Center. The 16th Annual WVRC Media Invitational Golf Classic, the first event of the series, raised $80,000 for the hospital in July.
In recognition of their long-term commitment and generosity to the Mon Health Medical Center Foundation’s Golf Classic, the golf tournament committee created a permanent trophy named in honor of Jean and Laurence DeLynn. This trophy is prominently displayed at Mon Health Medical Center. Jean and Laurie, along with other major sponsors, were instrumental in raising over $1.5 million since the tournament’s inception. In 2010, after Laurie’s passing, the event was renamed “DeLynn Mon General Foundation Golf Classic” in honor of the DeLynns, and after Jean’s passing in 2021, it was again renamed to its current title, the “DeLynn Memorial Golf Classic.”
