Mon Health System – Vandalia Health North Board Announces Member Changes

The Mon Health System – Vandalia Health North Board of Directors announces a change in board membership.

After many years of dedicated service, Dr. Mark Johnson, a longstanding and beloved leading general surgeon at Mon Health Medical Center, will step down from his position as a board member effective immediately to focus on the increased demand for his surgical services. Dr. Susan Capelle has been appointed to the Board of Directors for an initial three-year term, effective July 1. Dr. Capelle is a well-known and respected community-based uro-gynecologist in Morgantown, West Virginia.

Upon Dr. Capelle’s appointment, the Mon Health System – Vandalia Health North Board of Directors will include Ed Boyle as Chair, Kathy McNeill as Vice Chair, John Law as Secretary/Treasurer, Rodney Bean, Gregory Cunningham, David Goldberg, President and CEO, Mon Health System, Executive Vice President, Vandalia Health, Mike Morris, Natalie Stone, Ray Thompson, Ronald G. Stovash, immediate past chairman, David Ramsey, Vandalia Health President and CEO, John Kabler, Hugh Hitchcock and William Hartman.

The Mon Health System – Vandalia Health North Board of Directors is made up of members from both Mon Health System and Davis Health System hospitals to ensure governance of the system reflects citizens across the service area.
