Huntington National Bank presented the Mon Health Medical Center Foundation with $25,000 check on Monday, August 7 at the DeLynn Memorial Golf Classic at Pete Dye.
The donation supports the Greatest Needs Fund, which the Mon Health Medical Center Foundation utilizes for unexpected expenses, including specialized equipment, upgrades to facilities, and unique programs.
“The health of our communities is vital, and by supporting the Mon Health Medical Center Foundation’s Greatest Needs Fund, we hope to make a difference for both the patients and the caregivers,” said Chad Prather, Huntington Bank’s West Virginia Regional President.
The Greatest Needs Fund is one of the most critical resources in providing quality services to local communities. The fund has helped to purchase isolation materials and increase staffing throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, purchase the Monarch Robotic system to diagnose and treat lung cancer sooner, and support employees in financial distress with items such as gas cards, rent, and even food.
“We are incredibly grateful towards Huntington and their generosity for their significant contribution towards enhancing the health of the communities we serve,” said David Goldberg, President and CEO of Mon Health System and Executive Vice President of Vandalia Health. “Through donations from community members and organizations like Huntington, we now have a dedicated fund to help those who serve our patients every day.”
