Physical Therapy & Fitness Center

Our Physical Therapy clinics have knowledgeable and friendly staff to serve you. Our staff frequently treat patients with orthopedic or neurological injuries, post-operative patients, sports injuries, geriatric and pediatric patients. We also work with individuals who experience common issues such as joint pain, neck pain, back pain and/or need compression stockings for edema management. We offer several treatment options for patients with various diagnoses, including manual therapy, aquatic therapy, soft tissue mobilization/massage, therapeutic exercise, electrical stimulation, ultrasound, lymphedema therapy, and many other modalities. A skilled therapist can evaluate you and will work with you to develop a program that will meet your specific needs and return you to function.

Lymphedema

Jody Varda, DPT, is a specialist in lymphedema treatment. If you suffer from lymphedema, you’re not alone. This condition is often triggered by radiation, surgery, trauma, or even without a known cause. Our PT clinics offer a wide variety of treatment options to help your condition.

Trigger Point Dry Needling

Several of our physical therapists are certified in dry needling techniques for pain relief. Dry needling allows your muscles to relax. When the dry needles are inserted, your body releases proteins and neurotransmitters that stimulate healing. The release of these proteins blocks the transmission of pain messages from your brain, providing relief to your body. Dry needling can help a variety of conditions.

Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy

Vanessa Noss, DPT, specializes in physical therapy for issues involving the pelvic floor. Pelvic floor dysfunction can cause issues such as urinary or fecal incontinence, organ prolapse, and pain in the pelvis, groin, or abdomen. Pelvic floor physical therapy can also address post-natal issues such as incontinence, diastasis recti, and pain the in the pelvic, abdomen, or low back. Our PT clinic offers a wide variety of treatment options to help your condition.

Inpatient Care

Our outpatient Physical Therapists also work with our inpatients during their stays in the hospital. We work to counteract the deficits of endurance, ambulation tolerance and safety that frequently occur while patients have a hospital stay. We see hospital inpatients 7 days a week, except for holidays, to ensure that our patients receive the best care possible while they are recovering at Preston Memorial Hospital.
