Pastoral Care Services
Pastoral care is an important part of the healthcare team and seeks to meet the religious, spiritual and emotional needs of patients, family members, and staff. Pastoral care reflects our hospital’s commitment to care for the whole person.
Our Pastoral Care Volunteers are ordained ministers and are able to provide the ministry services of a regular parish minister. Services include:
- Patient visitation.
- Prayer with those who seek comfort and guidance in times of difficult services.
- Spiritual support in times of stress and turmoil, contacting the patient’s family, significant others, and local clergy as requested.
- Collaboration with local clergy in facilitating visitation of their own hospitalized parishioners and serving as a bridge between the health care and the faith communities.
