Wound Healing Center

The Wound Healing Center at Preston Memorial Hospital offers care to patients with wounds that have not followed the normal path or timeframe of healing. We are located in the Physician Center of Preston Memorial Hospital as an outpatient service. The staff of the Wound Healing Center consists of providers trained specifically in wound healing techniques. Our goal is not only to heal your wounds, but to help prevent further wound problems. We work to educate you on why you have a non-healing wound, what both you and our team needs to do to heal it, and what you can do to prevent future problems.

We are able to provide the majority of the services needed to heal most wounds. However, some patients will require services that are not available at Preston Memorial Hospital. In these instances, we are able to arrange this care with other hospitals in West Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. We work to include your Primary Care Provider in the plan of care, along with other available services needed to get you back on your feet again.

In most cases you do not need a referral from you Primary Care Provider or most insurance companies.  We would recommend that you check with them if you have any concerns.  We would be happy in helping you get a referral if it is needed.  To learn more, read our Frequently Asked Questions.
