Mon Health Preston Memorial Hospital’s Emergency Department is fully prepared to meet all your medical needs. You will be treated promptly and efficiently by a group of highly trained medical professionals with the most advanced medical equipment. Our capabilities range from minor illness and injury to full-scale trauma, stroke, and cardiac care. Our triage nurses are trained in the Emergency Severity Index. Patients are evaluated based on acuity and resource needs and not necessarily the order of arrival. We maintain a WV Level IV Trauma designation. All our licensed staff are trained in Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, the Neonatal Resuscitation Program, the Trauma Nurse Core Course, and obtain the National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale Certification.
