At Vandalia Health Hospitals, Hope is Different
Posted Date: 11/6/2024
Vandalia Health’s Mon Health Zelda Stein Weiss Cancer Center and Davis Health Cancer Centers offer comprehensive care to patients across the state.
Mon Health, Davis Health Hospitals, and Grafton City Hospital offer advanced 3D mammography that leads the way in early breast cancer detection. This advanced screening method uses a less invasive technique that minimizes discomfort. 3D mammography provides clearer, more detailed images, making it easier for healthcare providers to detect abnormalities at earlier stages, ultimately improving patient outcomes.
Mon Health Medical Center partnered with Radiological Physician Associates (RPA) to secure a breast radiologist on-site to provide even more timely diagnoses and care planning, underscoring our ongoing investment in services to ensure patients receive prompt, high-quality care and treatment.
“As a breast radiologist, I understand how important comfort and clarity are during screenings. Our advanced 3D mammography technology allows us to provide patients with more accurate results while reducing the anxiety often associated with mammograms,” said Dr. Ginger Layne, Breast Radiologist. “This level of detail helps us detect cancer earlier, giving our patients a better chance at successful treatment.”
In addition to 3D mammography, Mon Health, and Davis Health have infusion centers conveniently located in Kingwood, Morgantown, Elkins, and Weston. These centers provide breast cancer patients with access to chemotherapy and other infusion therapies, allowing them to receive lifesaving treatment close to home.
“At Vandalia Health, we understand that a breast cancer diagnosis can be overwhelming, which is why we’re dedicated to providing comprehensive care with a personal touch,” said Regan Siko, Director of Oncology at Mon Health and Davis Health. “Our teams work closely with each patient to create individualized treatment plans, combining advanced technology and compassionate support. Here, hope is different because we treat each patient like family.”
“At Vandalia Health, we are committed to providing the best care to every patient,” said David Goldberg, President and CEO of Mon Health System and Davis Health System - Vandalia Health North, and Executive Vice President of Vandalia Health. “Here, hope really is different, and together, we’re making a difference in the fight against breast cancer.”
