Posted Date: 11/7/2024
Mon Health System’s Spirit Week, an employee celebration held the final week of October, raised over $40,000 to support local United Ways serving North Central West Virginia.
Throughout the week, employees donated to participate in themed days, dressing up in their favorite sports team gear, tropical beachwear, costumes, and more to get into the giving spirit.
“The United Way workplace campaign at each of our Mon Health facilities is a prime example of community helping community,” said Nate James, system director of employee and workforce engagement. “At Mon Health, we are deeply committed to giving back and making a meaningful impact on the communities we serve. This campaign represents more than just a donation drive—it's about coming together as a team to support the vital work of local nonprofits.”
Seven prize drawings were held throughout the day during the system’s official Day of Giving on Oct. 31, with winners receiving prizes ranging from gift cards to free paid time off. Staff who donated $25 or more were entered to win. Grand prizes included a $300 gift card and a large gift basket filled with prizes.
