Davis Health System and Mon Health System Celebrate Employees Throughout August

In an ongoing effort to join together as Vandalia Health, staff from across each system rallied to compete in some friendly competition tournament-style at the Morgantown BOPARC softball fields on Saturday, August 17. Throwing out the ceremonial first pitch was Dr. Krystal Atkinson, Chief Administrative Officer and Chief Nursing Officer of Mon Health Medical Center, Chief Nursing Executive of Mon Health System, and Interim Chief Nursing Officer of Davis Health System. Additionally, Bria Dixon, RN at Mon Health Medical Center, sang the National Anthem to kick off the tournament.
“Coming together for this event fostered a spirit of fun and camaraderie, strengthening the bonds within the Vandalia Health family,” said Mark Doak, Interim Chief Executive Office of Davis Health System. “It’s important to connect, laugh, and come away with great memories and stronger relationships.”
Additionally, in recognition and celebration of their contributions to the overall health and safety of the communities they serve, the Vandalia Health hospital systems joined together on Sunday, August 25 with a system-wide kickball tournament and pool party at Mylan Park in Morgantown. Staff from each health system celebrated together and enjoyed some summer fun as a collective organization.
