Mon Health Preston Memorial Celebrates 5 Year Anniversary in New State-of-the-Art Facility

Mon Health Preston Memorial Hospital's new campus was made possible, in part, by donors of the Building for a Healthy Future Capital Campaign.

"To show our appreciation for the Capital Campaign donors, we have designed and established a donor wall to recognize each of those contributing to our new facility," said Melissa Lockwood, Mon Health Preston Memorial Hospital Chief Administration Officer. "We are extremely grateful for our donors for allowing us to continue to provide quality healthcare close to home."

Since opening its doors in 2015, the new Mon Health Preston Memorial Hospital has received recognition for excellence from regional and national organizations. In 2020, Mon Health Preston Memorial was one of three hospitals in the state to receive a five-star rating from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. In addition, Mon Health Preston Memorial received the first Acute Stroke Ready Hospital designation in the state of West Virginia in 2019. Mon Health Preston Memorial has also received top tier Gold recognition in the  West Virginia Hospital Association Honors Program and was recognized by the Preston County Chamber of Commerce as Business of the Year.

Mon Health Preston Memorial most recently launched its orthopedic surgery service line in 2018, enabling communities served by the hospital to receive quality orthopedic care at a convenient location. "We were thrilled to bring orthopedics to our community. We are proud to offer the highest standard of orthopedic care to patients in Kingwood and the surrounding area," Lockwood said. "As we move forward, we plan to not only sustain but grow our current service lines and establish others to best provide for our communities."
