Mon Health Preston Memorial Hospital Celebrates Three Years of Employee Awards and Service at Annual Banquet

Mon Health Preston Memorial Hospital gathered to celebrate three years of employee awards and service at their annual employee banquet at Alpine Lake Resort on July 7. Due to COVID-19 cancellations, employee service and awards from 2019, 2020, and 2021 were honored in the combined ceremony.

Mon Health Preston Memorial Hospital Administration presented the 2021 Employee of the Year Award to Brandon McGinnis, Information Technology. They also announced the 2021 ICARE Recipient of the Year, Donald Harmon, Physical Therapy. ICARE is an acronym for the Mon Health Values: Integrity, Commitment, Accountability, Respect, and Excellence. Recipients from 2019 and 2020 included:

• 2019 Employee of the Year: Diane Clark, Patient Financial Services
• 2019 ICARE Recipient of the Year: Ariel Buric, Cardiac Rehab
• 2020 Employee of the Year: Desirae Weaver, Acute Care
• 2020 ICARE Recipient of the Year: Laura Groves, Infection Prevention

All monthly ICARE recipients since its inception in 2019 were honored during the ceremony. Employees who have participated in clinical laddering were also celebrated for advancing or maintaining their clinical level.

The service awards recognized employees that have accrued years of service at Mon Health Preston Memorial Hospital starting at five years. The Department of the Year was awarded for the previous three years, including Housekeeping, Primary Care Physicians, and the Emergency Department.
