Mon Health Preston Memorial Hospital’s Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Program Fully Certified by Industry Leader

Posted Date: 9/20/2023
Mon Health Preston Memorial Hospital is proud to announce the certification of its Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program by the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR). This certification is recognition of the commitment to improving the quality of life of patients by enhancing standards of care.

AACVPR Program Certification is the only peer-review accreditation process designed to review individual programs for adherence to standards and guidelines developed and published by AACVPR and other related professional societies.

Mon Health Preston Memorial Hospital’s Cardiac Rehabilitation Program was AACVPR certified in 2021 and in August 2023, the Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program was AACVPR certified.

“At the Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Program, we are dedicated to meeting the individual needs of each patient, and this certification demonstrates our efforts,” said Terri Hauser, Cardiopulmonary Rehab Manager. “We will continue to work hard to provide our patients with the most updated, evidence-based rehabilitation care available.”

To earn accreditation, Mon Health Preston Memorial Hospital’s Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Program participated in an application process that required extensive documentation of the program’s practices. Each program’s application is reviewed by the AACVPR Program Certification Committee, and certification is awarded by the AACVPR Board of Directors.

AACVPR-certified programs are leaders in the cardiovascular and pulmonary rehabilitation field because they offer the most advanced practices available and have proven track records of high-quality patient care.

“This certification is a testament to the diligence and hard work put forth by the cardiopulmonary rehabilitation team,” said Melissa Lockwood, Chief Administrative Officer of Mon Health Preston Memorial Hospital. “We are proud to be recognized for the care we deliver to our patients and will continue to provide our patients with outstanding cardiopulmonary care to help them achieve their health goals.”
