Turkey Trot Raises Over $1,000 for 3D Mammography at Mon Health Preston Memorial Hospital

Mon Health Preston Memorial Hospital providers Bonnie Forman, MD, Bethany McNair FNP-BC, and Jason McNair, MD all participated in the third annual Turkey Trot.
Mon Health Preston Memorial Hospital hosted its third annual Turkey Trot at the Preston Country Club on Saturday, November 19. The event raised over $1,000 for the 3D Mammography Fund to support patients with the cost of diagnostic breast services.
20 runners and walkers competed in the 5K, and the top overall runner was awarded a turkey donated by Shop ‘N Save in Kingwood.
Taila Goodwin was the top overall runner and female runner for the event and was presented with the turkey for her first-place finish. Karli Bean finished second and Sophia Taylor finished third for the female group.
Alex Liston placed first in the male group and second overall in the event. Noah Thomas finished second and Dan Liston finished third for the male group.
All participants were also entered to win prizes from event sponsors including Rosemary’s Thyme, Mon Health Auxiliary, Mon Health Medical Center Gift Shop, Pizza Hut – Kingwood, Varsity Club, Metheny’s Market, Preston Country Club, and Bruceton Fitness Center.
“We are very appreciative of those who braved the cold to support the hospital at the 2022 Turkey Trot. We are already looking forward to 2023 and welcoming more healthy competition among participants,” said Melissa Lockwood, Chief Administrative Officer of Mon Health Preston Memorial Hospital.
