Volunteer
Volunteers have provided key services to Preston Memorial Hospital since its inception.
Many are drawn to volunteerism by their desire to be helpful, humane, busy, and in the case of our student volunteers, to gain high school or college required community service hours, while gaining an exposure to the medical field(s) which they wish to enter. You may volunteer through one of our two programs: Junior Volunteers (ages 14-17) and Adult Volunteers (over age 18).
Volunteers could be involved with many tasks, including, but not limited to:
- Greeting visitors
- Patient pre-registration
- Reading materials distribution (library cart)
- Diagnostic Imaging
- Cafeteria cashier
- Housekeeping
- Preparing chart folders for admitted patients
- Business office filing and data entry
- Blood drives
- Health fairs
- And many more!
