PACE to Handle Mon General Hospital Shredding Services

Mon General Hospital recently switched to PACE Enterprises for document shredding services at the hospital and its affiliates.

PACE Enterprises, formerly known as PACE TEC, is a local nonprofit that has been providing job training and placement for people with disabilities for about 30 years. PACE moved into a new facility in Mylan Park this past January and began offering secure document destruction.

“PACE is located in Morgantown and employs disabled individuals,” said Michele Blackhurst, Mon General Director of Environmental Services. “We believe that this is going to be a plus, not only for PACE but for the hospital and community.”

Mon General Hospital began using PACE for document shredding on July 12, 2011. Containers for placing materials to be shredded at the hospital and affiliates were switched out in early July.

PACE Shredding utilizes technology and detailed protocols to ensure total security for a customer’s secrets. “You can rest assured that all of the hospital’s documents will be handled securely. In fact, our operational procedures are held to higher standards than industry norms due to our membership in two national accrediting bodies,” said Jim Stoen, Business Services Manager at PACE Enterprises. PACE holds full membership in the Secure Document Alliance and the National Association for Information Destruction and has passed on-site audits from both groups.

PACE Enterprises is the only West Virginia based document destruction firm that has been able to achieve “AAA” certification from the National Association for Information Destruction. While several Pittsburgh and Cincinnati based document companies perform work in Morgantown, PACE is the only local shredder with “AAA” credentials.
