The Patient Experience Sets Us Apart From Other Cancer Centers
At the Mon Health Cancer Center, you will be cared for by an experienced and dedicated team of experts, armed with the latest in technologies and treatment options. But
your personal experience you have while you’re in treatment is equally important to your health and well-being.
We recognize that no two patients are alike. That's why
we take a personalized approach to cancer care. We extend ourselves to engage your families or caregivers in your treatment decisions if you wish. We take the time to listen.
When our patients think back on their experience here, they remember the welcoming, family-centered atmosphere. And when that happens, we know we've done our jobs right.

Patient Testimonials
When I went for my first chemo session, I was scared and didn’t know what to expect. But everyone was wonderful. They saw me as an individual not a number. From the nurses to the volunteers—all were so kind and gentle. Nobody enjoys having cancer, but they made me feel special. And Dr. McBee! The man is a saint!

Ovarian Cancer Survivor
When I was first diagnosed with breast cancer, Dr. Saunders was my oncologist and Dr. Heiskell was my surgeon. I had 20 wonderful cancer-free years. Recently the disease recurred, but there was never a question about where I would go for treatment: I went right back to Dr. Saunders and Dr. Heiskell. I was pleased to learn that Dr. Saunder’s nurse, Jean, was still working with him. Fortunately, there are many new treatment options now available. I have only positive comments about Mon General!

I truly panicked when I heard I must have surgery, but Dr. McBee and the staff at Mon Health Cancer Center made every effort to assist me dealing with this diagnosis. The nurses working in the infusion center were especially considerate. Many times they took time to explain each step involved, as I had not been in the hospital or had any procedures since I had my tonsils out when I was a little girl. I praise the Lord for all the great folks at the cancer center and for my healing.
