Support/Counseling

The diagnosis of cancer can be overwhelming for both you and your loved ones. At the Mon Health Cancer Center, we understand the physical and emotional impact cancer can have. Our support and counseling programs can help you cope with the stress you may be feeling and help you through this difficult time.

Pastoral & Spiritual Care

Mon Health Medical Center’s Pastoral and Spiritual Care Department offers support in times of spiritual need. If you wish, the department can also let your faith community or spiritual leader know about your hospitalization or illness. Hospital inpatients may request a visit from the Pastoral and Spiritual Care staff.  Just let your nurse know or call 304-598-1952. An Interfaith Chapel is available for prayer or reflection just off the hospital’s main lobby. Learn more about our Pastoral and Spiritual Care Department.

Care Coordination Services

Care Coordination staff and nurse case managers can help you make the most effective use of healthcare services.  They work with your insurance company for authorization; help organize in-home care, rehabilitation or placement in an extended-care facility; provide information and referral for community resources; explore resources for financial assistance; provide short-term counseling; and arrange follow-up care, if needed, after discharge. Call Care Coordination:  304-598-1537.

Healthcare Advance Directives

Having healthcare advance directives in place, such as a Medical Power of Attorney and a Living Will, can help ease your mind should you become unable to make medical decisions. Learn more about advance directives.
