Dr. Statler Named Mon Health Medical Center's 2019 Physician of the Year

Mon Health Medical Center's Kristen Statler, MD, has been named the hospital's 2019 Physician of the Year.

Dr. Statler is a general and robotic surgeon at Mon Health Medical Center. She also performs vascular and minimally invasive procedures. The award was chosen by the hospital's medical staff and executives.

"Dr. Statler takes excellent care of her patients by going above and beyond for them at an individual level," said William McBee, MD, a gynecologic oncologist and chief medical director at Mon Health Medical Center. "She improves the lives of our community with her talented skill set and compassionate care. On behalf of the hospital medical staff, I can say, we are proud and honored to work with Dr. Statler."

Dr. Statler has been practicing medicine at Mon Health Medical Center for three years. A native of Morgantown, WV, she received her medical degree from West Virginia University followed by her residency at Charleston Area Medical Center.

"I am blessed to get to work with an amazing team of physicians, nurses and medical staff who truly care about the people of our community.
