Mon Health Cancer Center Launches “PB & J” Cancer Support Series

Mon Health Cancer Center is pleased to announce The Persevering, Brave, & Joyful Series, a special three-session series designed to inspire and support cancer care patients and their loved ones.

Participants in the series can expect to hear from inspiring guest speakers who have walked a similar path, engage in activities designed to uplift and empower individuals on their cancer and support journeys, and gain encouragement and motivation from shared experiences.

Also known as “PB & J,” The Persevering, Brave, & Joyful Series will be held at Mon Health Medical Center in the Mylan room from 6-8PM on the third Tuesday of the month beginning in August. Each session will focus on a new topic:

• September 17 from 6-8PM – Embrace & Empower: Emotional Wellness
• October 15 from 6-8PM – Nourish & Nurture: Fueling Forward with Nutrition
• November 19 from 6-8PM – Energize & Exercise: Exploring Fitness Together
  

In addition, a free meal will be provided for attendees at each session.

“This series is designed to assist patients in all aspects of their cancer journey,” said Tricia Julian, Oncology Nurse Navigator at Mon Health Medical Center. “Addressing physical, mental, and spiritual needs is essential to ensure that patients are fully supported during what can be a very stressful time in their lives.”
