Mon Health Cardiologists Recognized Statewide

Mon Health Heart & Vascular Center is proud to announce that Dr. Bradford Warden has been inducted into the West Virginia Executive Health Care Hall of Fame and Dr. Wissam Gharib has been awarded the Heart of Gold Award by the American Heart Association.

The West Virginia Executive Health Care Hall of Fame recognizes individuals who have made a significant contribution to West Virginia’s healthcare industry, and who have a passion for making the Mountain State a better, healthier, and happier place to live. Dr. Warden will be officially inducted into the Hall of Fame’s Class of 2024 on Feb. 27 in Charleston, West Virginia. 

“I am honored to be inducted to the West Virginia Executive Health Care Hall of Fame’s Class of 2024,” said Dr. Warden. “I am passionate about advancing the heart care across my home state of West Virginia and am proud to represent the Mon Health Heart & Vascular Center and the outstanding, patient-centered care we are known for across the country.”

Dr. Warden is the Executive Director and Chief of Cardiology at Mon Health Heart & Vascular Center. He is a Morgantown native and earned his medical degree from the West Virginia University School of Medicine, followed by a residency in internal medicine and a cardiovascular fellowship. Dr. Warden is a board-certified interventional cardiologist with over 25 years of experience.

The Heart of Gold Award is a prestigious honor for healthcare professionals who demonstrate unwavering dedication, compassion, and expertise in providing exceptional patient care and advancing cardiovascular medicine. Dr. Gharib will be presented this award at the 2024 American Heart Association Heart Ball in Charleston, West Virginia, on Saturday, March 2.

“As a West Virginia native, I am proud to play a role in advancing heart care throughout the state alongside my colleagues at the Mon Health Heart & Vascular Center. I am dedicated to providing the best possible, high-quality heart care to each and every one of my patients and will continue to pursue excellence in the field of cardiology,” said Dr. Gharib. “It is a true honor to receive the Heart of Gold Award as this recognition is a testament to our collective efforts in advancing cardiovascular medicine and delivering compassionate care to our patients.”

Dr. Gharib is the Director of Structural Heart and Catheterization Labs at Mon Health Heart & Vascular Center. He grew up in Charleston, West Virginia, and earned his medical degree from the West Virginia University School of Medicine, followed by a residency in internal medicine, and fellowships in cardiology and interventional cardiology. Dr. Gharib is a board-certified interventional cardiologist with nearly 20 years of experience.
