Mon Health Marion Neighborhood Hospital Reflects on 2023

In just the last year, Mon Health Marion Neighborhood hospital provided care for 11,703 emergency department patients, began offering outpatient lab services, hosted a wellness series for community members, honored two nurses with DAISY Awards for extraordinary care, was awarded by the Center for Organ Replacement and Education for its efforts to increase organ donor registration, and much more.
To conclude a year of dedication to the community, Mon Health Marion Neighborhood Hospital jumped in to support a local organization in need, the Soup Opera, when a flood right before Thanksgiving resulted in a loss of all its supplies. Staff members banned together to collect non-perishable foods to donate to the organization and provide meals to families in need.
In addition to these outstanding awards and experiences, Mon Health Marion Neighborhood Hospital is proud to be infection-free since its inception. Hospital acquired infections are deemed an important public health and patient safety issue by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The Infection Prevention Department at the hospital has proactively identified and reduced risks to patients, their families, and staff to ensure an extraordinary experience, compassionate care, and clinical excellence.
