Mon Health Medical Center Auxiliary Hosts Annual Trees to Go Event

The Trees to Go Event began in 2012 and was spearheaded by Kathy Pompili, who has been a member of the Mon Health Medical Center Auxiliary for 29 years. Since then, the fundraiser has become the third largest fundraiser of the Auxiliary. Each year, the Mon Health Medical Center lobby is dressed with festive spirit as local community members donate pre-decorated trees of all design that are raffled off through ticket sales.
The Trees to Go Event in 2023 made over $11,000. Patients, staff, and visitors can purchase tickets in the Mon Health Medical Center Gift Shop to enter to win these beautifully decorated Christmas trees.
“We have seen a lot of success from the Trees to Go Event and we are proud to continually support and benefit patient care at the hospital through these fundraising efforts,” said Kathy Pompili. “We encourage the community to come out and participate in this fundraiser and join us in making a great impact on the care provided at Mon Health Medical Center.”
Tickets may be purchased online or in the Mon Health Medical Center Gift Shop from now until 11:30AM on Friday, Nov. 22. The ticket drawing for the fundraiser will be held in the main lobby at Mon Health Medical Center on Friday, Nov. 22 at Noon. Winners that are not present at the drawing will be contacted to pick up their tree.

As of 2024, the Mon Health Medical Center Auxiliary has served the hospital for 80 years, fundraising to provide additional support and services to hospital staff, patients, and the community.
