Mon Health Medical Center Celebrates Volunteer Week
Posted Date: 4/22/2024
Mon Health Medical Center celebrates National Volunteer Week and honors its volunteers with a week of celebration.
“Our volunteers do so much and certainly make an impact within the hospital,” said Jacob Mulder, Director of Volunteer Services and Guest Services. “Some may not notice just how impactful our volunteers are, but their smiling faces and positive attitudes really do make a difference to our employees, patients, and visitors, so we are proud to publicly recognize them this week.”
From April 21 to 27, the Mon Health Medical Center Volunteers will enjoy photo booths, free treats, and an awards ceremony to recognize milestone hours of service and the hospital’s top 10 volunteers.
At the end of the week, Mon Health Medical Center will host an appreciation lunch celebration for all volunteers. Hospital leadership will be in attendance to give thanks to those that give their time to further the hospital’s mission of enhancing the health of the community they serve, one person at a time.
“We are so incredibly thankful for our volunteers and the selflessness they display each day to serve our staff and patients,” said Dr. Krystal Atkinson, Chief Administrative Officer and Chief Nursing Officer of Mon Health Medical Center and Chief Nursing Executive of Mon Health System. “It is an honor to celebrate their work this week and recognize the outstanding service they’ve provided for our hospital for many years. I extend my thanks to each volunteer and encourage those who may be interested in volunteering to join this amazing group of individuals.”
