Mon Health Medical Center Foundation Welcomes Laura McCall as Senior Director of Philanthropy

Mon Health is pleased to welcome Laura McCall as the Senior Director of Philanthropy to the Mon Health Medical Center Foundation. With 25 years of successful fundraising experience, McCall is uniquely positioned to leverage her skills and expertise to further elevate Mon Health’s philanthropic initiatives of the growing hospital system.
A West Virgina native, McCall holds a bachelor’s degree in speech communications from Fairmont State University and holds a master’s degree in communications studies from West Virginia University. McCall started her esteemed development career in North Carolina, eventually making her way back to West Virginia. Prior to joining the Mon Health Family, McCall served in several leadership roles at West Virginia University, the West Virginia University Foundation, and WVU Medicine, most recently, the WVU Cancer Institute.
As a dynamic leader, her strengths lie in her ability to build meaningful relationships with diverse stakeholders, align donor interests with the needs of the organization, and make data-driven decisions for progress and sustainability.
“I am honored to join Mon Health System at this pivotal point in the organization’s growth,” said McCall. “The strategic vision of leadership and the culture of philanthropy attracted me to this position, and I embrace the opportunity to contribute to the mission of enhancing the health of the communities we serve.
McCall will work closely with the Executive Director of Philanthropy, Luella Gunter, to advance the ambitious fundraising goals of Mon Health System. With the addition of McCall’s position, Gunter will focus on her continued leadership of the Foundation and collaborate with McCall to demonstrate impact, diversify the donor base, and maximize the philanthropic resources as Mon Health continues to expand.
