Mon Health Medical Center Recognized for Achievements in both Patient Safety and Patient Experience

Mon Health Medical Center has been recognized for outstanding patient safety and quality by two organizations.
Mon Health Medical Canter has been honored by Healthgrades as the only hospital in West Virginia to receive two distinctions of excellence – the Healthgrades 2017 Patient Safety Excellence Award™ and the Healthgrades 2017 Outstanding Patient Experience Award™. These awards are based on government data for the prior three years. Healthgrades, the leading online resource for comprehensive information about physicians and hospitals, announced the awards in April.
The Leapfrog Group has awarded Mon Health Medical Center with an “A” grade in Spring 2017 Hospital Safety Grades. Mon Health Medical Center was the only hospital in North Central West Virginia to receive an “A” grade. The Leapfrog Group is a nonprofit organization that measures patient safety in health systems across the U.S.

This is the third time in four years Mon Health Medical Center has received both Healthgrades awards. The hospital has received the Patient Safety Excellence Award 9 times out of the last 12 years and has received the Outstanding Patient Experience Award 5 times out of the last 7 years.
