Mon Health Medical Center’s Cardiac Rehabilitation Awarded Recertification by Industry Leader
Posted Date: 8/21/2024
Mon Health Medical Center is proud to announce the recertification of its Cardiac Rehabilitation Program by the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR). This certification is recognition of the commitment to improving the quality of life of patients by enhancing standards of care.
AACVPR Program Certification is the only peer-review accreditation process designed to review individual programs for adherence to standards and guidelines developed and published by AACVPR and other related professional societies. The certification is awarded for a period of three years.
To earn recertification, Mon Health Medical Center’s Cardiac Rehabilitation Program participated in an application process that required extensive documentation of the program’s practices. Each program’s application is reviewed by the AACVPR Program Certification Committee, and certification is awarded by the AACVPR Board of Directors.
AACVPR-certified programs are leaders in the cardiovascular and pulmonary rehabilitation field because they offer the most advanced practices available and have proven track records of high-quality patient care.
“This certification is a testament to the diligence and hard work put forth by our cardiac rehabilitation team,” Dr. Krystal Atkinson, Chief Administrative Officer and Chief Nursing Officer of Mon Health Medical Center and Chief Nursing Executive of Mon Health System. “We are proud to be recognized for the care we deliver to our patients and will continue to provide our patients with outstanding cardiac care to help them achieve their health goals.”
