Mon Health Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital Donates to Community Baby Shower
Posted Date: 7/2/2024
Mon Health Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital made a donation to Braxton Healthy Families Health Children Coalition Community Baby Shower.
The community baby shower was held on Thursday, June 27 at the Flatwoods Community Building for new and expectant parents. Families were provided with connections to community resources, breastfeeding support, car seat safety checks, and more. Mon Health Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital donated diapers, wipes, and other essential baby supplies. In addition, the hospital provided healthcare resources for new families and an introduction to the Mon Health Progressing Through Postpartum (P3) Program.
Through Mon Health’s P3 Program, mothers are screened before, during, and after pregnancy for any indication of anxiety, depression, or mood disorder. This allows for early detection and management of symptoms, giving the P3 team an opportunity to connect with mothers early on and provide continuous support throughout their pregnancy and postpartum journey. This service is available to all patients that receive their prenatal and postpartum care at Mon Health Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital.
“At Mon Health Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital, we care deeply about meeting needs across the communities we serve and are proud to be a strong support for families as they embark on the journey of pregnancy and parenthood,” said Kevin Stalnaker, Chief Administrative Officer of Mon Health Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital. “We are thankful to have been able to donate some essentials to new and expectant parents in the area, as well as provide information on the vital prenatal and postpartum care we offer.”
