Dr. Johnson earned his Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine from the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine in Lewisburg, West Virginia before completing his residency in Family Medicine at WVU Medicine’s United Hospital Center in Bridgeport, West Virgina, and completing a Sports Medicine fellowship at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, Kentucky.
At Mon Health Stonewall Primary Care, Dr. Johnson will provide routine check-ups and preventative care, acute and chronic illness management, sports injury prevention and treatment, ultrasound-guided musculoskeletal injections, and more.
“Growing up in West Virginia, I always knew it’s exactly where I belonged. I am honored to have the opportunity to move back to Appalachia with my wife and our growing family to start my career in family medicine and sports medicine,” said Dr. Johnson. “My goal is to increase access to family and preventive medicine, as well as work toward establishing a base to provide care for non-operable sports and orthopedic-related problems and injuries. I look forward to being able to give back to a state and community that has given so much to me.”
