Mon Health System Celebrates Emergency Medical Services Week
Posted Date: 5/20/2024
National Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Week is May 19-25 and Mon Health System is honoring the emergency medical professionals across the state that play an integral role in enhancing the health of the community, one person at a time.
EMS Week is presented by the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) in partnership with the National Associations of Emergency Medical Technicians (NAEMT). Together, NAEMT and ACEP lead annual EMS Week activities. These organizations are working to ensure that the important contributions of EMS practitioners in safeguarding the health, safety and well-being of their communities are fully celebrated and recognized.
Mon Health System is joining in on the celebration and recognizing local EMS partners that provide front-line care in collaboration with its hospitals. Throughout the week, Mon Health System staff members will visit some local EMS agencies to distribute treats and goodies.
“We are proud to partner with EMS agencies across the region and honor their commitment to emergency care this week,” Dr. Christopher Edwards, Emergency Services Director of Mon Health System and Chief Administrative Officer of Mon Health Marion Neighborhood Hospital. “It’s because of the dedication of these emergency medical professionals that we can continue to bring timely, high-quality care to the patients we serve.”
