Mon Health Welcomes Dr. Mehdi Farishta to Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine Teams

“We are proud welcome Dr. Mehdi Farishta and his expertise in pulmonary and sleep medicine to our comprehensive team of providers at Mon Health,” said Karen Friggens, Vice President of Physician Services at Mon Health Medical Group. “Dr. Farishta will allow Mon Health to expand our services and increase access to specialty care for our patients.”
Dr. Farishta obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery at Dow Medical College/Dow University of Health Sciences in Karachi, Pakistan before completing his residency in internal medicine at Western Michigan University Homer Stryker M.D. School of Medicine in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Additionally, he completed a pulmonary and critical care medicine fellowship at Ascension Providence Hospital/Michigan University School of Human Medicine in Southfield, Michigan, and a sleep medicine fellowship at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois.
Dr. Farishta is board-certified in critical care medicine, pulmonary disease, critical care echocardiography, and internal medicine.

Dr. Farishta will offer comprehensive pulmonary and sleep medicine services including asthma and COPD management, lung disease diagnosis and treatment, sleep apnea care, and more. Additionally, he will perform pulmonary procedures such as flexible bronchoscopy, electromagnetic navigation bronchoscopy, endobronchial ultrasound, and indwelling pleural catheter.
