This much-anticipated event is themed “Wild, Wonderful & Whimsical” in celebration of the many years of dedicated service to the community put forth by the Mon Health Medical Center Auxiliary, Mon Health System, and generous donors and philanthropists over the years.
As of 2024, the Mon Health Medical Center Auxiliary has served the hospital for 80 years, fundraising to provide additional support and services to hospital staff, patients, and the community. Since its inception, the Auxiliary has raised upwards of $3 million for the hospital. The annual Ball of the Year will commemorate this rich history and service throughout the evening.
The Ball of the Year will feature its typical lux dining, entertainment, auction, and more, in addition to nostalgic elements honoring the Auxiliary’s 80 years of community-based philanthropy. Unlike previous years, the 60th Ball of the Year will feature a pre-Ball auction. A ball gown from Coni & Franc and a custom tuxedo from Daniel’s Men’s Store in Morgantown will be up for auction, each valued up to $1000.
The Coni & Franc ball gown auction will include any dress, shoes, bags, accessories, and more that is currently in stock up to $1000, with the winner of the auction covering any costs over that amount. The winner of the custom tuxedo from Daniel’s Men’s Store will be fitted the weekend of the ball to ensure best fit.
“The Mon Health Medical Center Auxiliary has made a significant impact on our hospital and community,” said Dr. Krystal Atkinson, Chief Administrative Officer and Chief Nursing Officer of Mon Health Medical Center and Chief Nursing Executive of Mon Health System. “Through their unwavering support over the last 80 years, we have been able to greatly enhance the health of the communities we serve, one person at a time. We are certainly looking forward to this year’s anniversary ball in celebration of the Auxiliary and all they have done to serve Mon Health Medical Center.”
