Vandalia Health’s Mon Health Medical Center Laboratory Receives CAP Reaccreditation

The accreditation committee of the College of American Pathologists (CAP) has awarded reaccreditation to Vandalia Health’s Mon Health Medical Center Laboratory, based on the results of a recent on-site inspection.
Known for its rigorous standards, the CAP accreditation enhances quality, reduces risk, and highlights a laboratory’s vital role in improving patient outcomes. Mon Health Medical Center’s Laboratory is one of over 8,000 CAP-accredited facilities worldwide.

During the CAP accreditation process, inspectors thoroughly examined the laboratory’s records, quality control procedures, staff qualifications, equipment, facilities, safety protocols and overall management practices.
