The Village at Heritage Point Commemorates National Assisted Living Week

A weeklong celebration kicks off during the week of September 11 – 17, and The Village at Heritage Point is joining tens of thousands of assisted living communities across the country for the festivities. National Assisted Living Week – officially sponsored by First Quality in 2022 – will recognize the theme, “Joyful Moments.”
  
“This year’s National Assisted Living Week allows us to celebrate and create new, special memories together,” said Wilma Sternthal, Executive Director of The Village at Heritage Point. “’Joyful Moments’ reflects the strong family connection between residents and staff while providing an opportunity for local communities to celebrate the individuals who live and work in assisted living and learn more about this sector of long-term care.” 

While adhering to safety requirements and precautions in place for COVID-19, some activities offered for staff and residents during the week at The Village at Heritage Point include: 

• September 13 - Fiesta Day
  
• Musical performance and taco bingo
• September 14 - Wear Purple / Alzheimer's Day
•   Alzheimer’s booth for raising awareness, ice cream parlor, and water ball toss
• September 15 – Sunshine Day
• Sunshine card making class, T&L Hotdogs food truck, and sunshine bingo
• September 16 – Neon Day
• Neon ball toss and neon games ring toss
