Mon Health breaks ground on new physician office and EMS facility
Posted Date: 1/2/2018
In its continued efforts to make healthcare more convenient and accessible, Mon Health has begun construction on a 2-story, 15,780 square-foot facility at the Gateway development off Chaplin Road that will house physician clinics and an emergency medical services substation.
When it opens in late summer 2018, the Mon Health Wedgewood Primary Care Westover location on Fairmont Road will move into the second floor of the building, and Dr. Alan Hess, a Mon Health internal medicine physician, will move from the Mon Health Medical Park to the first floor.
Specialty clinics will also be provided on-site on a rotational basis.
A 2-bay garage for Mon Health EMS will be attached to the new building to provide easier access to the western and northwestern parts of Monongalia County and I-79.
