Mon Health Medical Center Receives National Recognition Based on Patient Feedback

Mon Health Medical Center has been named a 2017 Guardian of Excellence Award® winner by Press Ganey for delivering an exceptional patient experience. 

The Guardian of Excellence Award recognizes healthcare organizations that consistently rank in the top 5% in patient experience.

Mon Health Medical Center is the only hospital in West Virginia to receive the 2017 Guardian of Excellence Award. The award is based on data gathered in the Press Ganey surveys that patients complete following their visits. 

According to Mon Health President and CEO Darryl Duncan, the award represents an important recognition from the industry’s leader in measuring, understanding and improving the patient experience.

The Press Ganey Guardian of Excellence Award is a nationally-recognized symbol of achievement in healthcare. Presented annually, the award honors clients who consistently perform in the 95th percentile of all Press Ganey clients for each reporting period during the course of one year.
